REMOTE SUPPORT SAFETY
You stay present.
You stay in control.
A few clear steps before, during and after your appointment.
Only accept an expected connection
Bytova uses AnyDesk for remote support. Joining instructions are emailed before your agreed appointment. Only follow the instructions for that appointment and only accept a connection you are expecting from Leighton.
Do not grant access in response to an unexpected call, pop-up or message claiming your computer has a problem. If a message seems unusual, stop and email hello@bytova.co.uk using the address shown here.
Prepare your device
- Keep a working internet connection and remain at the device throughout the session.
- Back up important files before changes are made.
- Close personal banking, payment pages and other sensitive information.
- Make sure you have permission to use the device, account and any software involved.
Keep credentials private
Never send passwords, PINs, recovery keys or one-time sign-in codes by email or chat. If signing in is necessary, enter your own credentials. I will explain the step and pause access where appropriate.
I do not need your banking password, card security code or access to online banking to provide these services.
End access whenever you need to
You can disconnect or withdraw permission at any time. Tell me if something is unclear or you want to stop. I do not require unattended ongoing access for these appointments.
At the end, close the remote-support connection. Keep the joining email and your appointment details for your own records.
