Legal basis for processing
Under UK GDPR, I process your personal data on the following legal grounds:

- Legal obligation — where I am required to retain records for tax or legal purposes
- Consent — for marketing communications, which you may withdraw at any time
Sharing your information
I do not sell your personal information. I share it only with trusted third-party services that are necessary to operate my business:
- Shopify Inc. — my website and checkout platform, which processes orders and payments on my behalf. Shopify is certified PCI-DSS compliant. You can read Shopify’s privacy policy at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
- Payment processors — Shopify Payments and, where applicable, PayPal or other accelerated checkout providers handle payment transactions securely.
- Email service providers — used to send order confirmations and, where you have consented, marketing communications.
All third-party providers are required to handle your data securely and in accordance with applicable data protection law.
Remote support sessions
When I provide remote IT support, I may temporarily access your device using remote access software. I will only do this with your explicit consent at the time of the session. I will not access your device without your knowledge or permission, and I will not request your banking passwords, PINs or one-time security codes.
I do not retain any files from your device, and session recordings (if made for quality purposes) are deleted within 30 days.
Monthly support subscriptions
If you subscribe to a monthly support plan, I will retain your contact details and payment information (via Shopify’s secure payment infrastructure) for as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to manage renewals, cancellations and any related correspondence.
Cookies
My website uses cookies to function correctly and to improve your experience. Essential cookies are required for the site to operate. Analytics and preference cookies are only used with your consent. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time. For full details, please see my Cookie Policy.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact me at hello@bytova.co.uk. I will respond within one calendar month.
